π Haparoot is an atmospheric, story-driven adventure game created entirely by artist Tanha. Every element β from sound design and dialogue systems to storyboarding, 3D assets, and animation β was crafted by hand as part of a single, personal vision. π Built over three years of full-time work, itβs not designed to entertain, but to be felt. The player explores a grayscale world where their own inner light grows brighter with every discovery. π It is a game about illumination, not victory. About finding meaning in silence, and dialogue in shadows.
π In Haparoot, you awaken in a monochrome world that seems to shift under its own logic. Your only light comes from within β it starts faint, barely showing whatβs near, but grows as you collect explore the corners, collecting gems each carrying a fragment of forgotten wisdom. The story unfolds through encounters with strange beings β hermits, rebels, torchless wanderers β who see the world through different beliefs. Dialogue and silence both shape what the player understands. Every conversation is a thread in the worldβs logic β a map of meaning drawn through talk, trade, and patience. Puzzles are invitations to slow down, to connect ideas and spaces β a philosophical journey disguised as an adventure game.
Light as Knowledge β Your inner glow expands as you learn and discover. Puzzles as Invitations β Solve through observation, not instruction. Meaningful Dialogue β Words and silences both alter your path. A Shifting Reality β Rooms, corridors, and landscapes bend and loop. Hand-crafted Sound & Design β Every detail created by the artist himself. Philosophical Exploration β A poetic reflection on perception, solitude, and unity.

βI didnβt start Haparoot to make a game β I started it to tell a story. After years as a visual artist, I needed to turn my lived experience into something interactive. Every sound, model, dialogue and light was hand-made β not to simulate reality, but to build a memory of it.β
